Amanda Brand
Amanda’s interest for floral and design started at a young age, while job shadowing some of the greatest design teachers. At 16, Amanda had a job at Christy and Company in Boonville, Missouri delivering flowers, washing buckets, and answering phones. That’s when her passion for the flower business grew quickly, recognizing the unpredictability of the profession and the energetic personality the job required! She then continued to work throughout college with florists designing weddings, funerals, and events. She knew one day she wanted to run her own business and open in the flower market! After receiving a Bachelor in Science degree from Central Methodist University in 2010, she married Tim Brand and began her teaching career in Salisbury, MO. In 2012, she and her husband welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Jamie Eleese Brand. The addition of their baby girl was not the only thing to change their lives that year! After driving by the old Casey’s building numerous times and having multiple people mention that she should buy the building and open a flower shop, Amanda decided to give it a chance, and in December 2012 made the call. She thought that there would be no way they could ever reach an agreement, but she knew that this would be a complete dream come true! The negotiating began and by March 15, 2013, Tim and Amanda Brand were the new owners of the old Casey’s building in Fayette! She began making progress on fulfilling her dream with full potential at the age of 25 with an 8-month-old baby! After tireless hours of working and extreme exhaustion, Paisley BowTique was finally open for business on August 3, 2013! With her husband’s profession in farming and Amanda’s in design, they both knew they would be challenged to successfully balance all components in their lives. Not to mention the irony that Amanda would be selling weeds for a living and Tim, a farmer emphasizing in chemical application, kills weeds for a living. Together they knew they could make this work, both living their professional dreams and raising a family. The business took off just as she wanted it to! With another business that was located inside of hers selling specialty cakes and cupcakes. The two businesses were a perfect match for weddings and events and soon realized together they could flourish into something great. With over 45 weddings and countless events that had been successfully designed from the shop by the end of 2015, Tim and Amanda Brand added a new adventure to their family; an 8lb 3 ounce little boy named Tristan. Amanda knew she had been truly blessed to receive such wonderful gifts and the ability to continue with her many accomplishments. With the support of the community that she grew to love while in college and surrounding communities, Amanda continues to expand the business with gifts, home décor, cake pops, apparel, and a creativity that excels in her profession.
